Within my art projects I strive to push the boundaries between Japanese traditional painting experimental techniques, driven by the unconventional mixing and new use of Japanese pigments, gold leaf and Japanese laquers. My personal language of expression is unguded by traditional painting rules resulting in an assembly of reality and dreams. They are layered in a continous state of transformation, infused with a contemporary yet poetic aesthetic.

Japan, and especially the City of Kyoto, have always had a strong connotative meaning for us. Kyoto, being rich in tradition, has become one of our privileged places as a source of great inspiration. Travelling throughout Japan for over a decade, made it possible for us to discover ancient artistic traditions and traditional craft techniques. This, in turn, stimulated and inspired our choice of going in depth, exploring and experimening with new techniques, very much influencing and motivating the concept of our projects and creations.
