新作のモチーフはユリ、桜、梅、チューリップ、カキツバタ、セージなど。
これらは季節や土地との関係を切り離され、エレナシリンの作品である画面上に浮遊しています。その印象は幻想的で夢のような。 自然の一部を切り取ったイメージではなく、草木や香り、空気などが入り混じった有機的なイリュージョンと言った方です。
I find beauty not in the thing itself but in the patterns of shadows, the light and the darkness, that one thing against another creates… Were it not for shadows, there would be no beauty.… a spray of plum blossoms, the elusive perfume of a rare wood, the delicate blending of colours in a robe.
