Choosing handmade paper or textiles is a very important part of my artistic work. The artfact then painted on a textile support needs binders and special preparatory layers. Japanese mineral pigments are the ones I use and i find beautiful and unique! At the end of the pictorial part proceed with the finishing layer. I use waxes and Japanese lacquers or beeswax. They are necessary procedures traditionally used in the art of conservation and restoration of ancient works of art. Passion, method, sensitivity and respect for the time necessary for the procedures, are fundamental to a positive and satisfying outcome.
